About Payulot

A smarter way to use assistance benefits—and a simpler way to accept them.

Payulot is an NFC payment card and platform for Bermuda. Cardholders spend benefits at participating vendors. Vendors get paid instantly with a flat 1.5% fee. Simple, transparent, and built for everyday life.

For cardholders

Use your Payulot Card to buy groceries and essentials at participating vendors. No hidden fees for you.

  • Tap just like any other card.
  • Only approved categories are allowed, so benefits go where they should.
  • 24/7 online balance and history.

For vendors

Flat 1.5% per transaction

Payulot is not Visa or Mastercard. We keep it simple—no 2.5–3.5% interchange surprises, no tiered pricing. Just a transparent 1.5% fee and next-day deposits*.

  • Fast onboarding and simple web tools.
  • Chargebacks are rare—transactions follow program rules.
  • Free listing in our vendor directory (opt-in).

* Deposit timing depends on bank rails and holidays.

For government partners

Modernize disbursements with real-time controls and clear reporting.

  • Limit purchases to approved categories and vendors.
  • Program-level dashboards and exportable reports.
  • API & secure data room for auditors.

How it works

  • Funds arrive on your Payulot Card via your program.
  • Shop at vendors that accept Payulot (look for the Payulot mark).
  • Compliance is built-in—restricted categories simply won’t go through.
  • Vendors get paid with a flat 1.5% fee and clear settlement.

Optional: Health & ICE swipe

You can choose to store a limited “In Case of Emergency” profile on your Payulot Card—like allergies, medications, and an emergency contact. With your consent, a clinic or ambulance can read this data by swiping your card to help in a crisis.

  • Opt-in only—you control what’s shared.
  • Read-only access for emergency providers.
  • Encrypted at rest and in transit.

Security & privacy

  • Modern encryption; credentials are hashed and salted.
  • Granular permissions for admins and auditors.
  • We never sell personal data. Period.

What Payulot is (and isn’t)

Payulot is a closed-loop payment network built for public programs. We’re not a bank, Visa, or Mastercard.

Eligibility and funding are provided by participating programs and agencies.
